The family of the chairman of the State Committee for National Security (GKNB) of Kyrgyzstan Kamchibek Tashiev sold its own oil base. This is reported by IA 24.kg .
According to the agency, a medical facility "Center for Maternity and Childhood Protection" was built with the proceeds in the village of Chokmor, Suzak district, Jalal-Abad region.
The opening ceremony of the center was attended by the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov.
According to him, officials and rich people used to take their money abroad, build houses there and open businesses. At the same time, he added, there are still those who still cannot return.
"And the Tashiev family sold the oil depot and spent this money on their people, investing it in such a good cause as this hospital. This is a real example, a real patriotism. This project is a great thing, done not for the sake of profit, but for the sake of the health of mother and child, for the sake of a prosperous life of the people. This step of the Tashievs is the highest example of devotion to the state and service to the people," said Japarov.
The center includes a maternity ward and a children's hospital. It is expected that it will have 470 jobs.
The institution was named after Kamchibek Tashiev's mother Alima Tashieva.
