The Tagansky district court of Moscow brought to administrative responsibility the journalist and writer Mikhail Zygar*. This is reported by the joint press service of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction in the telegram channel.
"He was found guilty of committing an administrative offense under Part 4 of Article 19.34 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (Violation of the procedure for the activities of a foreign agent)," the statement said.
Zygar* was sentenced to a fine of 50 thousand rubles.
As reported by EADaily, in July last year, Zygar* was found guilty under paragraph "d" of part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Public dissemination of deliberately false information about the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation). By the verdict of the Basmanny Court, he was sentenced to 8.5 years of imprisonment in a general regime colony with a ban on website administration for 4 years.
Zygar* was included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of natural persons-foreign agents in October 2022. The agency indicated that he took part in the creation and distribution of materials by foreign agents, and also received foreign funding.
