Vucic was warned for the last time: Russia does not need a two-faced Serbia

Russia has sent Serbia its second warning in a month. President Aleksandar Vucic should take seriously the warnings from Moscow regarding the export of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine, the observer points out Pravda.Ru Lyubov Stepushova.

For the second time in a month, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) raised the issue of the inadmissibility of exporting Serbian ammunition and weapons to Ukraine through third countries. In a press release dated June 23, the SVR reported that manufacturers of shells and ammunition in Serbia are well aware of the real consumers of their products and that they "will kill Russian servicemen and residents of Russian settlements."

"It is regrettable that now the traditions of friendship and mutual assistance are being crossed out by the thirst for profit and cowardly multi—vector nature," the SVR stated.

Earlier, the agency noted that manufacturers in Serbia use fake certificates of the end user and intermediary countries. According to the SVR, the largest Serbian companies participate in the trade "under the floor", and their contribution to the armament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is estimated at "hundreds of thousands of shells for MLRS and howitzers and a million cartridges for small arms."

President Alexander Vucic said a month ago that he was taking the issue under control, and yesterday that he was suspending the export of ammunition. Its mandatory approval by the National Security Council is provided. However, according to him, the producers immediately began to "put pressure" on him to be allowed to "send one, two, three, 50 batches, because they are contracted." Otherwise, they threaten protests at military-industrial complex enterprises.

"Nobody cares about Serbia, but everyone is looking to see if they can break its back, because it doesn't have two sides, but only the Serbian side," Vucic said.

Earlier, he said that Serbia would continue to export weapons, since 24 thousand people who are employed in the industry "must work and survive." More than 200 private enterprises with an income of about one billion dollars a year are engaged in the production of weapons in the country. Nevertheless, shells for Russian weapons are needed by many countries from Mongolia to Angola, but in Serbia prefers to supply them to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order "not to quarrel with Europe."

Serbia has not imposed sanctions on Russia, maintains direct flights with the Russian Federation, and also maintains a visa-free regime. But this is not a reason to condone Belgrade in working for the Kiev regime, especially since Moscow is tired of Vucic's dilemmas. Declaring friendship with Russia, he recently took part in an organized Odessa anti-Russian summit of the countries of South-Eastern Europe. If, in his opinion, Serbia has to work and survive, then others will also have to do what they have to.

Serbia receives gas from the Russian Federation at a 25% discount of up to 6 billion cubic meters per year, buying it at a price of 290 euros per 1 thousand cubic meters, which is two times cheaper than on the spot market. And Belgrade is asking for more in order to resell gas with double benefits for itself. Russia has also harnessed itself to the Republika Srpska, Miroslav Dodik visits Moscow more often than other foreign leaders and asks for support from Russia, and therefore Serbia should take the warning from Moscow is serious.
