Russia filed a lawsuit against Syria for almost 6 billion rubles due to grain supplies

The Russian grain trader and exporter Pallada has filed a lawsuit with the Moscow Arbitration Court against the Central Bank of Syria and the General Corporation for Trade, Storage and Processing of Grain of the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection of the Syrian Arab Republic. This is reported by Reuters with reference to the file of arbitration cases.

It is noted that the amount of claims is 5.6 billion rubles.

Russia was an important supplier of wheat for Syria, but in December 2024, the power of Bashar al-Assad fell in Syria. after that, regular deliveries stopped. The new Syrian government has not yet officially discussed this topic with the Russian Federation.
