An explosion occurred on board the MV Wan Hai 503 container ship, which was traveling from Colombo in Sri Lanka to Mumbai, India. Sailors are injured.
On the way to Mumbai from Colombo, an explosion occurred on MV Wan Hai 503. It happened off the west coast of India — the state of Kerala. Five sailors were injured, according to the Indian Coast Guard, TASS reports.
According to AIS ships, the container ship was supposed to arrive in Mumbai on June 10, and left the capital of Sri Lanka on June 7.
"When the container ship was passing by the port of Cochin, an explosion occurred on board, after which a fire started. In total, there were 22 crew members on the ship. The causes of the explosion and the scale of damage to the container ship have not yet been specified. The forces of the Indian Coast Guard and the country's Navy have been sent to the scene of the incident," TASS reports.
"Official sources reported that the shipowner was offered to promptly assess and report on the nature of the cargo in order to verify the presence of any hazardous materials. Information on whether dangerous goods were involved in the explosion has not yet been received," writes The Indian Express.
As reported by EADaily, the Kiev regime plans to repeat operation "Web" in the Pacific Ocean — a strike by drones hidden in cargo containers will be carried out on Russian warships. This was written by Washington Post columnist David Ignatius, citing sources in the Ukrainian special services.
"The SBU is considering the possibility of sending naval drones hidden in cargo containers to attack ships of Russia and its allies in the North Pacific. But so far they, apparently, have not yet started these operations," wrote David Ignatius.
