The winner of the 69th International Song Contest "Eurovision-2025" according to the results of the audience voting was the representative of Austria with the creative name JJ (Johannes Pitch). He performed the song Wasted Love.

According to the results of voting by the jury and the audience, he scored 436 points. The jury's votes were counted based on the results of the rehearsal on Friday, May 16, which was not broadcast. The final of the contest was watched by about 160 million people.

The second place was taken by the representative of Israel Yuval Rafael with the song New Day Will Rise, the third — Estonian rap artist Tommy Cash (Thomas Tammemets) with the viral track Espresso macchiato.

Johannes Pitch is a countertenor (the highest of the male voices, very similar to the female by ear), he is a graduate of the vocal school at the Vienna Opera, and is currently continuing his studies at the University of Music and Art of Vienna. His song Wasted Love combines the features of pop music and opera, some media call the genre of composition pop opera.

Representatives of Austria win the Eurovision Song Contest for the third time. In 1966, Udo Jurgens won, in 2014 — the scandalous Conchita Wurst.

As EADaily reported, earlier the Ukrainian media and telegram channels recommended not to vote for performers who were considered to have ties with Russia. JJ was also included in the number of such dubious artists. The musician openly stated that he was inspired by the work of the People's Artist of Russia, the world-famous opera singer Anna Netrebko. He even followed her on the social network Instagram*, but then unsubscribed and continued to only like individual publications.
