Russian citizens demand much tougher actions from the country's leadership in relation to Kiev in response to Ukraine's attacks on the territory of the Russian Federation, said presidential aide, head of the Russian delegation for negotiations with Ukraine Vladimir Medinsky.

"Our population, our citizens demand much more cruel actions from us," Medinsky said in an interview with RT.

Medinsky noted that it was very difficult for the Russian delegation to go to the second round of talks in Istanbul after the terrorist attacks in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. According to him, the Russians "are now demanding Hazel strikes on Kiev and Lviv," stating that negotiations are enough.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense, in a report for June 9 on the progress of SMO, reported that the strikes carried out at night on the territory of Ukraine were a response to the terrorist attacks of Kiev.

"Tonight, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation delivered a massive strike with high-precision long-range air-based weapons at one of the airfields of the tactical aviation aircraft of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Dubno, Rivne region. This is one of the retaliatory strikes against the terrorist attacks on Russian military airfields committed by the Kiev regime. In addition, high-precision long-range air-based weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles struck at enterprises producing weapons and military equipment, assembly shops for unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as ammunition depots, weapons and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The purpose of the strikes has been achieved. All designated facilities have been hit," the Defense Ministry said.
