According to the publication, Ibrahimov also "carried out the instructions of the Armenian structures aimed at inciting separatism in Azerbaijan."
Syayara Aliyeva's lawyer confirmed that her client was indeed placed in the detention center of the State Security Service. According to her, during the interrogation, Ibrahimov admitted having ties with Armenia and testified on a number of other issues.
"The details of the special operation to deliver Russian citizen Zahireddin Ibrahimov to Azerbaijan have not yet been disclosed. However, it is known that he is being held in the detention center of the State Security Service along with Ruben Vardanyan and Arayik Harutyunyan and will be held accountable for crimes directed against the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan," the statement said.
According to the Report, "in the year of the constitution and sovereignty announced in Azerbaijan in 2025, the detention and delivery of Ibrahimov to the country is a clear signal to anyone who dares to conduct activities that undermine the constitutional order and territorial sovereignty of the state."

Zahiraddin Ibragimov received Russian citizenship in 2002. During this time he founded several Talysh organizations in Sverdlovsk Region, such as the Talysh Cultural Center and the Talysh Regional National Cultural Autonomy of the Sverdlovsk Region.
The Talysh are a people in Western Asia living in the north-west of Iran and the south-east of Azerbaijan. The total number of Talysh all over the world is up to 1.5 million people. It is the largest national minority in Azerbaijan, according to various sources, 400 to 600 thousand Talysh live in the country.
